Upon further review, the BC Wildfire Service has determined the complete open-burning prohibition will remain in effect in the Prince George Fire Centre.

This includes category 1 fires or campfires.

Category 1, 2 and 3 open burning prohibitions will remain in place until October 15th or until it is rescinded.

Earlier we announced a rescindment of the Category 1 (campfire) prohibition in the Prince George Fire Centre. Upon further review and with the wildfire season being experienced in B.C. we have made the decision the Category 1 prohibition will remain in effect. pic.twitter.com/Q8BB4lye9j
